Where Christ is magnified
and Christian are edified.

WHAT WE BELIEVE

We believe that God gives us everything we need through the Church, Ephesians 4:11-13.

  • We believe that the Bible is the complete, authoritative, and inerrant Word of God, II Timothy 3:15.
  • We believe that Jesus is the founder of the church.  As such, we follow and worship in the tradition of the first century church, Acts 2:41-42.
  • We believe in worshiping on the first day of the week, every week, Acts 20:7.  When we meet together, we partake in communion service to encourage one another and remember how Jesus died for our sins.
  • We believe that worship is designed to please God instead of a show for entertainment.  As such, our singing is designed to be robust, spiritual, inspiring, and uplifting– yet “in spirit and in truth.” Ephesians 5:19, John 4:23.
  • We believe in the biblical pattern of leadership for congregational development by training men to be elders and deacons. Although women are not appointed to be elders and deacons, there are many meaningful leadership roles for women in the congregation.
  • We believe that the church exists to share the gospel or “Good News” about Christ and salvation to all people.
  • We believe that reading and studying the Bible regularly is an important spiritual discipline for both individual study and in groups.  We challenge everyone to be involved in at least one of our Bible studies on Sunday morning or Wednesday night.
  • We believe that baptism is essential for church membership and salvation.
  • We believe…. “For God so love the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life,” John 3:16.
